My Approach

I value compassionate, strength-based therapy that is inclusive, warm and empowering.

I bring openness to the spectrum of tears and laughter when we meet - after all, it is a big and courageous endeavour to move into the therapy process. I believe human beings - you - have within themselves the capacity to heal and change, and in some chapters we need a little more support along the way.

I am a big believer in human-centred work - that is, the belief that we are all human, first, within our own stories, with many intersecting roles, identities and experiences. I am here to meet you in that story with warmth and non-judgement.

Throughout therapy, my aim is to support you authentically towards your goals and what well-being means to you. We all make meaning differently, and your version matters to me.

Therapy can involve symptom management, exploration, or personal reflection/growth.

Therapy can be moving through the ways in which you feel hopeless, stuck, lost, overwhelmed, towards discovering your innate resilience or voice.

Therapy can be telling your story, and/or the stories you’ve been told.

I work from an integrative framework of practice, which means I draw on several psychological theories in order to provide effective evidence-based therapy (see below). Because every individual is unique, therapy together is tailored-to-you.

Sessions are informed by trauma-informed and person-centered approach. I collaborate with you in order to thoughtfully integrate evidence-based practices that fit your unique needs and goals for therapy.
